One tent, one crew
Same team rigs, styles and packs down. You deal with one person from quote to bump-out.
Built for the vineyard, not the showground
Most Hunter Valley marquee hire still means a flat-roof, four-walled rectangle with centre poles down the middle. It keeps the rain off — but it boxes the vineyard out and eats up exactly where the dance floor wants to be.
A stretch tent is the same job done differently. One sweeping, curved canopy of cream waterproof fabric, tensioned out across the site with no internal poles. Open on every side by default, so the rows of vines, the ridge line, and the late-afternoon light stay part of the reception.
If you want the full background on the look, read our guide to Bedouin-style stretch tents.

Common questions
How much is marquee hire in the Hunter Valley?
Erectus hires a single 6×9m (54sqm) stretch tent for a flat $1,000, plus install from $500 across the Hunter Valley. No per-guest, per-hour, or weekend surcharges — see the price examples page for full itemised totals.
Do you set up at Hunter Valley vineyards and private estates?
Yes. We regularly install on vineyard lawns, between vine rows, on private estates and rural properties around Pokolbin, Lovedale, Rothbury, Cessnock and Singleton. We'll do a site walk-through before the day so the tent sits exactly where you want it.
How many guests fit under a 6×9m stretch tent?
Comfortably 40 seated at round or trestle tables, or 70+ standing for a cocktail-style vineyard reception. For a head-table-plus-dance-floor layout, plan around 30–35 seated.
What's the difference between a stretch tent and a traditional Hunter Valley marquee?
A traditional marquee is a flat-roof, walled rectangle with centre poles. A stretch tent is a curved, sculptural canopy with no internal poles and open sides — same weather cover, but the vineyard and the view stay part of the room. See our Bedouin tents guide for the full comparison.
Is there a travel fee from Newcastle to the Hunter Valley?
Install from $500 already covers Pokolbin, Lovedale, Cessnock and most of the Hunter from our Newcastle base. For Singleton, Broke or further afield we'll quote the exact travel on your itemised quote — no surprises.
How far ahead should I book a vineyard wedding date?
Peak vineyard wedding dates (October–April Saturdays) book out 6–9 months ahead. Mid-week and off-season dates are often available with a few weeks' notice. Send your date and we'll come back same day.
