What is a Bedouin tent?
The Bedouin tent is a thousand-year-old shelter from the deserts of North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Woven goat-hair panels, tensioned across timber poles, made a low, curving roof that shed sand, broke the wind, and opened to the cool of the evening. Form followed function — but the form was beautiful.
The modern stretch tent is the direct descendant of that idea. Same sweeping silhouette, same open sides, same shadowed warmth underneath. The difference is the fabric: a high-tensile, waterproof, UV-stable membrane that can be pulled into sculptural curves over almost any space — lawn, deck, sand, vineyard row — with pole positions and safe anchoring assessed for each site, unlike a traditional marquee.

Stretch tents are the modern evolution. Same sweeping silhouette, same open sides — but engineered waterproof fabric and tensioned anchoring keep the shape through real weather, not just a still desert evening.
Do they work for weddings?
They're the most-requested style we install. The curved roofline, soft shadow under cream fabric, and uninterrupted view across the guest area photograph beautifully.
What size do you hire?
One 6m × 9m (54sqm) stretch tent. Standard 2-day weekend hire $1,000; one-day hire approximately $850. Installation and pack-down approximately $350–$500, separately quoted. Additional days beyond the standard 2-day weekend are $650 per day. Exact dates, times, extras and payment conditions are confirmed in the written quote. Approximately 40 seated or 50–60 standing/cocktail, subject to layout and safe site conditions.
Can you set it up at a vineyard / on sand / on a deck?
Yes. Stretch tents anchor to ground pegs, sand pegs, or weighted plates, so we install on lawn, sand, gravel, decking, and most venue surfaces.
