What is a Bedouin tent?
The Bedouin tent is a thousand-year-old shelter from the deserts of North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Woven goat-hair panels, tensioned across timber poles, made a low, curving roof that shed sand, broke the wind, and opened to the cool of the evening. Form followed function — but the form was beautiful.
The modern stretch tent is the direct descendant of that idea. Same sweeping silhouette, same open sides, same shadowed warmth underneath. The difference is the fabric: a high-tensile, waterproof, UV-stable membrane that can be pulled into sculptural curves over almost any space — lawn, deck, sand, vineyard row — without the centre poles, hard edges, and tarp-flap of a traditional marquee.

Can you set it up at a vineyard / on sand / on a deck?
Yes. Stretch tents anchor to ground pegs, sand pegs, or weighted plates, so we install on lawn, sand, gravel, decking, and most venue surfaces.
